29.11.2012 University of Oulu participates in mobile and wireless project METISCWC contributes to the mobile and wireless systems for 2020 and beyond - the EU initiative METIS will lay foundation for the future "5G" EU co-funded research project METIS, launched in November, aims at responding to the future challenges of the mobile and wireless communication solutions. University of Oulu Department of Communications Engineering with the Centre for Wireless Communications is one of the 29 partners intending to enable European lead on the development of the future mobile and wireless communications system "5G", and ensuring an early global consensus on this system.
