17.4.2013 World Affairs Forum to discuss European Union’s Achievements and New ChallengesThe World Affairs Forum by Martti Ahtisaari Institute will discuss the state of the European Union and its achievements as well as challenges and the impact of global conflicts. The forum is organised on Monday 22nd April in 13.00 at Saalasti Hall, University of Oulu. Keynote speakers at the event are Dr. Wendelin Ettmayer and CMI’s (Crisis Management Initiative) Executive Director Tuija Talvitie. Dr. Ettmayer is an experienced diplomat and expert in international relations, who has an extensive career as e.g. Austrian Ambassador to Finland, Canada and the Council of Europe. Dr. Ettmayer has published and lectured widely on current world affairs. Keynotes will be commented by Kaleva newspaper’s Editor-in-chief Markku Mantila and Professor Petteri Pietikäinen.
