4.4.2013 Options for structural development presented for the University communityWork groups for structural renewal of the University have finished their reports, and they were presented to the staff on 3 April. The work groups have been planning the formation of field of science units for technology, natural sciences, architecture, IT and biochemistry. Also, the renewal of internal funding and a new administration and management structure have been prepared in their respective work groups. At the background of this work is the decision of the University board on December 2012 to turn faculties into more focused field of science entities. The goal is to create synergistic entities and thus improve the quality of functions and reaching of performance goals. The chairmen of the work groups will give briefings in the faculties if necessary. The University board will be presented a snapshot of the renewal on 17 April, and it will decide on a new structure in the meeting on 31 May. The new administration and function structure will be implemented on 1 January 2014. The reports and staff gathering presentations are on this page.
