The International Journal of Circumpolar Health (IJCH) is a scientific, ISI-ranked journal specializing in Arctic and Antarctic health issues. The journal is published by the Circumpolar Health Research Networks (CHRN).
The journal provides a forum for many disciplines, including the biomedical sciences, social sciences, and humanities as they relate to human health in high latitude environments. The journal has a particular interest in the health of indigenous peoples, promoting the dissemination and exchange of knowledge among researchers, policy makers, practitioners, and those they serve.
University of Oulu is a full member of CHRN and research professor Arja Rautio from the Centre for Arctic Medicine is the current representative of the university.
