Bioprocess Engineering Laboratory and Mass and Heat Transfer Process Laboratory are international, multidisciplinary research and educational units at the University of Oulu, Finland. Laboratories connect applied bioscience research with sustainable process design and development. Intensification of processes as well as treatment and utilization of industrial by-products and side streams are strong research areas of the units.
The expertise of these two laboratories is combined in BioProCenter.
BioProCenter offers service and research collaboration. Highly trained personnel and modern, high-throughput equipments ensure fast results. The new infrastructure has been set-up in the BioPro project supported by the European Regional Development Fund, the city of Oulu and local companies.
BioProCenter is located at the University of Oulu Linnanmaa campus in the Department of Process and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Technology.
