The organization of CASR consists of seven research groups covering the whole production chain of steel making from raw material handling to final products. The organization is led by Executive Board consisting of the head from each research groups. The Board meet s once a month and lays down the guidelines of the centre. The operation is lead by Executive Manager nominated by the Board.

The organization of CASR.

CASR operates in close co-operation with steel industry, that plays an important role in financing the research. The Advisory Board ensures that the activities of CASR are in line with the industrial interests a support . It consists of the research directors of steel companies Rautaruukki, Outokumpu, Ovako, FNsteel, and the managing director of Finnish Metal Producers’ Association, research director of FIMECC Oy, and a representative of Tekes. This Board meets twice a year.
