It is possible to take the degree of Licenciate in Technology and Doctor of Technology at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

Doctoral training

University of Oulu Graduate School UniOGS is responsible for all doctoral education at the University of Oulu.

The graduate school’s main task is to provide a high quality doctoral education at the University of Oulu.

There are expected to be changes in the application process for the admission of students, study requirements, supervision, follow-up processes, and processes related to the doctoral dissertation.

The relevant UniOGS Doctoral Training Committee formally appoints the supervisors for each student when the doctoral study rights are granted. Member of the Doctoral Training Committee for Technology and Natural Sciences from CSE is Professor Janne Heikkilä.

Licentiate Degree

The degree of Licenciate in Technology is however still given by the Faculty of Technology, as well as are the Bachelor and Master degrees.
