What made you choose the University of Oulu?

I wanted to study abroad to experience new things in my life, and the Wireless Communications Engineering programme at the University of Oulu was one the best programmes out there! So I chose to continue my studies in Oulu.

What was it like to study wireless communications engineering in Oulu?

The WCE programme has a wonderful curriculum. The courses and contents are very well planned and prepare the student for both academic and industrial careers after graduation. The educational system is the best in the world. This means the student gets a deep understanding of the field and becomes ready for cutting edge research in the future.

What have you been doing after completing your Master’s degree?
After graduation, I chose to continue my studies towards a PhD degree at the University of Oulu even though I was not planning to stay for a PhD in Oulu when I came here for my Master’s. The Centre for Wireless Communications (CWC) has the best possible environment to study and develop skills for a successful future.

What are your career plans?
In the future I am planning to become a university professor. Meanwhile, I will try to start my own technology company and develop new technologies to help the world to be a better place to live.

Do you have any advice to those considering studying WCE in Oulu?

Student life in Oulu is amazing, the nature is stunningly beautiful, and most importantly, as a foreigner I can say that Finnish people are among the nicest and kindest in the world.
