CWC spin-off going global

Sale of Sensinode opens worldwide business opportunities to the local sensor network technology innovations.

British semiconductor manufacturer with a billion-dollar turnover, ARM, has acquired the Oulu-based software company Sensinode Oy. Sensinode was founded in 2005 as a spin-off company of the University of Oulu research unit Centre for Wireless Communications, which has been in the forefront of the development of sensor network technology. The technology is used in the Internet of Things, a system in which devices communicate with each other over a network.
