All graduates with a Bachelor’s, Master’s or a Doctoral Degree as well as MBA and eMBA graduates are University of Oulu alumni.
University of Oulu alumni are spread all over the world. Each year, over 1000 Bachelor and Master graduates and over 100 Doctoral graduates join the alumni community. One of the first alumni of the University is President Martti Ahtisaari, graduate of 1959, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate 2008 and the very first Alum of the Year of the University of Oulu in 1999.
The University wants to maintain a lasting relationship with alumni and help alumni network with each other. Alumni are involved in the student life through mentoring programmes, alumni stories, career days or guest lectures. For students, meeting with alumni brings you insights that you can only get from an alum. Student volunteers are often involved in student-alumni activities.
Contact your study advisor to find out how alumni and students are brought together in your faculty or department.
