SIgn up to become alumni ambassador! University of Oulu Master student and recent graduates (Master degree) can now sign up for the programme. Sign up deadline is 9^th October 2013 at 12.00.

Who are Alumni Ambassadors? University of Oulu Alumni Ambassadors are spokespersons for the University. The Alumni Ambassador Programme is a volunteering opportunity for graduating students and recent graduates. Alumni ambassadors candidates attend a training programme during October 2013 - May 2014.

Volunteering opportunities vary from representing the University at a study fair or joining a University delegation abroad to writing a blog entry about the study experience.  First volunteering opportunities will take place during spring 2014.

Being a part of the Alumni Ambassador programme is a fantastic way to share the unique experience you have built up of the University during studies. Through training and volunteering opportunities, you get to develop local and global networks. For those interested in a career in higher education, the programme is a good way to explore the fields of International and Alumni Relations.

An Alumni Ambassador collaborates with the Alumni Relations and Admissions Office as well as the degree programmes on key initiatives and activities.

Alumni Ambassadors are expected to support the University by volunteering their time to

• support Admissions efforts with prospective students online;
• represent the University of Oulu at study fairs;
• meet with faculty and staff that may be visiting in his/her geographical region/country;
• provide information on educational and student mobility tendencies;
• provide testimonials, quotes and interviews;
• provide feedback on what is meaningful to young alumni (social events, career planning, etc.).
