The postgraduate students at the Faculty become conversant with their field of research and create new scientific knowledge. They may, however, also assume a professional orientation and focus on developing their professional expertise. Doctoral students participate in the activities of Faculty research groups and in a wide range of domestic and international researcher networks. 

Doctoral education in the Faculty of Education is part of University of Oulu Graduate School. Applying for postgraduate studies is to be done through UniOGS.
