The University of Oulu offers study opportunities with a solid academic foundation ranging from 5-6 year degree programmes and master’s programmes to doctoral training. There are also several possibilities such as open university studies, executive training and continuing education for developing and maintaining skills and competencies.
In addition to a variety of student exchange programmes, international master’s degree programmes in English are offered in six fields of study, making the university an international study environment.
The degree programme in process engineering includes courses on heat and mass transfer phenomena and mechanical and chemical unit operations, which are common in industrial applications. The educational programme provides skills to design and develop unit processes, chemical plants and process automation. Besides the core content of process engineering, the programme includes control engineering, economics and environmental aspects as well as industrial safety and ergonomics.
The degree programme consists of process and environmental engineering studies and in addition, mathematical and scientific studies. Furthermore personal skills are developed during the education. The programme provides all the necessary skills and knowledge for research and development tasks in process engineering.
