International Master's Programmes

Master's Programme in Biomedical Engineering: Biomechanics and Imaging

University of Oulu has a long tradition in the education and research in Biomedical Engineering (BME). BME is a fast-evolving research theme under the Information Technology focus area of the University. The International Master’s Programme in BME offers a strong basis for research career. The interdisciplinary programme structure and contents are based on the most recent international recommendations for BME education. The contributing departments have received excellent grades from an international research assessment panel. Students of our faculty (Faculty of Medicine) focus on biomechanics and biomedical imaging. After graduation the students can apply their expertise in a wide variety of occupations available in the field of BME internationally.
