Decisions for DigiHealth Visitor Program -funding

The Profi5 theme DigiHealth opened a call in January 2022 to fund research mobility. The call was closed at the end of February 2022. Its aim was to invite international postdoc scholars to spend a re-search period at the University of Oulu and take part in the activities of a DigiHealth program and the visitor’s host unit(s). It also offers Oulu-based postdoc researchers a possibility to visit universities and research institutes abroad. Call-specific evaluation panel has now evaluated all the applications and made the funding decisions.

The funding for individual visits varied from 1900-10000 EUR, and in total of 48 000 EUR was granted. Following post-doctoral applicants received funding for the visits, either as an incoming researcher at the University of Oulu, or to travel for a visit to another university:

Junfeng Wang, incoming from: Utrecht University, Netherlands

Kejuan Yue, incoming from: Hunan First Normal University, Changsha, China

Miia Jansson, outgoing to: RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia

Pinar Beyazkilic Ayas, incoming from: Middle East Technical University, Turkey

Qing Liu, incoming from: Central South University, Changsha, China

Sajad Ahmadian, incoming from: Kermanshah University of Technology, Kermanshah, Iran

Tanesh Kumar, outgoing to: TU Delft, Netherlands

Vahid Farrahi, outgoing to: NFA, Copenhagen, Denmark

Vasiliki Mylonopoulou, incoming from: University of Gothenburg, Sweden

Zenglai Tan, outgoing to: Fudan University, Shanghai, China

The evaluation and ranking by the selection panel was based on the expectation that the research will be on the fields closely connected to the core themes of the DigiHealth. The proposals selected for funding will support multiple different research themes of the DigiHealth. Congratulations for all the funded applicants!
