Where and when to register

The registration period for the academic year 2013-14 for existing students starts on 2 May, 2013 and ends on 13 September, 2013.

Registration via the Internet

Students can register and check their contact information via the Internet by using WebOodi. In WebOodi, it is also possible to change the student’s status from absent to present for the spring semester between 2 December, 2013 and 31 January, 2014.

To use WebOodi, the student needs user ID for the paju.oulu.fi network, and internet banking codes for paying the student union membership fee. More detailed instructions can be found at Oodi Guides for Students.

Registration at the Student Services Office

The Student Center in the Linnanmaa Campus of the University of Oulu opening hours are:

  • term-time Mon-Fri 9am-3pm
  • June and July 10am-2pm
  • Mon 2 September 8am-6pm extended hours
  • Mon 9 September 1pm-3pm (Notice! Shorter opening hours due to University Opening)
  • Tue 10 September 8am-6pm extended hours

The Student Union OYY has their own service center on Linnanmaa Campus, open Mon-Thu 8am-4pm.  There will also be an extra Student Union service desk in Kontinkangas Campus (Faculty of Medicine, Aapistie 5) between 2.-6. September, open Mon-Thu 8am-4pm and on Friday 6. September 8am-2pm.

If you are unable to collect your sticker in person, you can get it by mail. Send your Student ID Card and an envelope with the return address and a stamp to the Student Union. The address is:

Register as follows:

  • Pay the Student Union membership fee
  • Register to the university at the Student Center by filling in and returning the registration form found from Student Affairs' Forms page. Remember to bring your student card and a receipt for the Student Union fee.

Students who are not members (e.g. Doctoral students, non-degree students) of the Student Union follow these instructions when applicable.
