The commercial exploitation of inventions is guided by "the Act on University Inventions". It will give both to inventors and University obligations as well as rights. The Act applies to inventions patentable in Finland.

According to the Act the whole personnel of University is obligated to inform University without delay from inventions. This happens by filling in an invention disclosure form.
