Embassy Work Placement

Internship at Embassy

For native or fluent Finnish speakers, an internship at Finnish Embassies is a possibility.  Grant for Embassy internship is 2 200 €/student. Grant will be paid directly to the Embassy, which pays salary to student. Embassy in turn charges the University for 2200 €.

Embassy Work Placement Requirements:

  • Work placement lasts min 3 months
  • Student salary is min 1134 €/month
  • Work placement is part of studies
  • Contents of the work placement have been approved by the student’s department/subject
  • The student will not receive any other financial support for the work placement from the University

Applying

The grant is applied with a free-form application (motivation letter), which must contain grounds why support is needed, and a description of how the internship supports student’s studies, professional development, and internationalisation. Add transcript of records and CV to your application, as well as list of Embassies you are applying for, and a timetable of applying.

Documents

  • Confirmation of Traineeship (found from Forms page) to show that the Embassy work placement will be accredited to student’s studies. The student must fill in the form and have it signed by the person (from the student’s respective major subject) who will accredit the internship to studies.
  • Preliminary contract/confirmation of the work placement from the employer
