Research at the Faculty of Humanities
At the Faculty of Humanities, research is carried out in all represented disciplines. Research is focused on people, their activities and interactions – in different environments, at different times. In its research activities, the Faculty follows the Strategy of the University of Oulu as well as the Faculty’s own strategic research plan.
Four main themes unite the research carried out in the Faculty:
The main mission of the Faculty of Humanities is to foster internationally acknowledged, forward-looking research, research-based education/tuition, as well as knowledge-transfer with wider society, in partnership with local, national and international research networks/communities.
