• Principles of the Kummi Family Programme

The students, as well as the families, wishing to participate in the Kummi Family Programme, need to fill in the application form and agree to follow the priciples of the programme. International Relations will match the family and the student based on the information on the application forms. Therefore, if you have allergies and cannot visit a family with pets you should express that in your application.

 

The first meeting of the family and the student will be organized by the International Relations to make sure that the student and the family will receive all the information needed. After the first meeting, the time you and your Kummi family will spend together is completely up to your family and you.

 

If you would like to have a Kummi family, please read the principles for the Kummi Family Programme, print out and fill in the application form and turn it in to the International Office by mail, fax or upon your arrival. The application can also be turned in after arrival to Oulu. More information about the programme will be given to you during the Orientation.

 

Application deadlines are Sept 15 (for first semester) and Jan 15 (for second semester). Please submit your application by the deadline even if you arrive later during the semester.
