Finnish-Russian Student Exchange Programme, FIRST, is aimed at activating the cooperation between Finnish and Russian Universities. University of Oulu is a part of the programma through the FIRST Network Oulu where we act as the coordinating institution. Russian partner universities are:

University of Oulu Scholarships for Students from Arkangelsk, Murmansk and Petrozavodsk

In 2012-2013 the University of Oulu will launch a new scholarship programme for exchange students from Arkanagelsk, Murmansk and Petrozavodsk. Students who are enrolled at one of the following institutions are eligible to apply:

• NArFU
• Karelian State Pedagogocal University
• Murmansk State Technical University
• Murmansk State Humanities University
• Northern State Medical University
• Petrozavodsk State University

The sholarship is EUR 510 per month and covers one term of exchange studies at the University of Oulu (max. 5 months). We have reserved a quota of 3 scholarships per instituion for each academic year. Please note, that the scholarship term is fixed and it cannot be extended. Applicants apply as regular exchange students and the University of Oulu will select the scholaship students. For information on application process please see "How to Apply".
