R is a free software environment for statistical computing and data visualization.  
The software can be downloaded free of charge from the R home page:

Origin is particularly suitable for data visualization. It can be downloaded free of charge from the software distribution.

 

SAS is a general statistical analysis software that can be used to perform all major types of statistical analyses. The SAS software is used with the SAS programming language. In addition to personal computers, the SAS application can be found on the kuusi1 computer for researchers.

IBM SPSS 19 Brief Guide

IBM SPSS is an easy-to-use general statistics software.

  • SAS and IBM SPSS for Personal Use
    Instructions for purchasing SAS and IBM SPSS for your work or home workstation can be found at the software sales page.
  • SAS and IBM SPSS on the Student Workstations
    IBM SPSS and SAS statistical analysis software can be used on the IT Services’ student workstations in Computer Lobby, PC Hall, Tellus Library and along the Kemiankatu and Biokatu corridors.

SURVEYS

Webropol is a questionnaire and data collection application. Departmental persons responsible and representatives of research teams and projects can be assigned a permanent user ID for using Webropol. Others will be assigned a user ID when necessary.
Questionnaires related to students’ Master’s Theses and other final theses can be conducted through the IT Services.
