A separate service is provided to send large (50 MB - 20 GB) or unsafe attachments - https://filesender.oulu.fi/filesender/
The maximum size of one message including attachment is 50MB when sent through an email client (ie. Outlook, Entourage, Mail, Thunderbird).
Messages sent through Web Mail are limited to 10MB including attachments.
Virus / Unsafe files
The University has measures in place to automatically scan and remove potentially malicious code. How does this apply to you? If trying to send an attachment ending with a file extension listed below, your message will be delivered without the attachment. Encrypted .zip attachments will not be sent for now.

If antivirus software finds such files listed above within an archive (ie. .zip); the message will be delivered but the archive will not.
