University of Oulu 50 years – authors of the future
Today, the University of Oulu is a place of work and study for over 20,000 persons; a high quality, international-level science community securing well-being in northern Finland.
The University of Oulu is celebrating its 50-year anniversary in 2008. We are celebrating this landmark in the spirit of work and enjoying each other’s company: culture and sports events and exhibits will bring university staff and students together many times during the anniversary year.
This special year begins with a shared celebration among the staff on 31 January in Saalastinsali at Linnanmaa. The main events, including a science fair and the opening ceremonies for the academic year will be centered around anniversary week celebrations in May and September.
Staff and students, you are welcome to celebrate the University of Oulu’s 50-year anniversary!
