The EDGE Open Seminar (EOS) Series aims to provide entry points for researchers, students and educators into contemporary debates about globalization and education. The seminars will outline conceptual and pedagogical issues and tensions that are central to education and educational research related to identity and knowledge construction, cross-cultural encounters, difference, power, representation, social action and educational reform.
The seminars are designed to engage participants in a critical examination of different theories applied to case studies of educational policies, practices and research.
The objective of the EOS is to create a forum for critical dialogue across sectors that may assist curriculum review processes, support postgraduate students and enable opportunities for new collaborative initiatives between different research groups. All are welcome to participate!
Prof Vanessa Andreotti will run the EOS during the Fall term and guest scholars will be invited for the Spring term. The seminars will take place once a month on Wednesday afternoons from 14:15 to 15:45.
No registration required.
