News:  Please see the Annual Review 2011

Internationalisation has brought about many new challenges for the planning, evaluation and development tasks in the field of educational policies and practise in an international information society.

The Faculty of Education at the University of Oulu organizes a two-year full-time Master’s degree programme in Education and Globalisation, which provides special qualifications for developing educational systems and the quality of education, and for leading educational or social change in the globalised world.

The aim of the programme is to develop the appropriate competencies and knowledge needed in planning, evaluation, research and development tasks in education and related fields in the midst of societal changes, both on the local and global levels.

Students will be awarded an MA (Education) degree with the possibility to continue for doctoral studies. The programme does not provide students with a formal teacher's qualification. Education in Finland is internationally known for its high quality which is recognized in international assessments like PISA.

The programme is open for applications from students with a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent higher education degree.

Next application deadline is 31.1.2012.
