Facilities and equipment

Group study areas, workstations and quiet reading rooms

Group study areas:

  • Tellus and Luna have 230 group study places, equipped with moveable tables.
  • Pegasus Library lobby
  • Ground and 1st floor of the Medical Library

Most study places have electrical outlets to facilitate the use of laptops.

All libraries provide access to a free public access wireless network (panOULU) and most libraries are also covered by the eduroam wireless network.

Workstations and terminals

There are terminals that don't require login in every library unit. The terminals are primarily intended for using the library catalogue Oula and have only a web browser installed. You can't use USB flash drives with the terminals. Printing to the multifunction machines or to the Pegasus Library service desk.

The workstations in the libraries require login with a paju or koivu account. Printing to the multifunction machines.

Student printing

There are 51 student printing workstations in TellusĀ  and Luna , which are maintained by IT Administration Services.

Quiet reading rooms

The quiet reading rooms are designed for quiet study. Loud conversation, group work and use of mobile phones is not allowed.
