Oulu University Library offers a comprehensive set of services to researchers and teachers. The library’s information specialists help you make the best use of the services.
You will find the library’s information resources in the Oula-Finna library catalogue and through the subject guides on the library website. With your University of Oulu account you can access all the electronic resources provided by the library also from your home computer and with mobile devices.
New library resources are funded by both the library and the faculties/research units/projects. You can suggest new publications for purchase. We also provide expertise and tools for finding new material in your field of study.
The library will support you during the various stages of your research and scientific publishing process, for example in the making of a research data management plan and open access publishing. The library participates in the editing of the publication series of the University of Oulu, such as Acta Universitatis Ouluensis, and maintains Jultika - the open access repository of the University of Oulu.
Information about your publications is collected into the University of Oulu research information system Oulun yliopisto tutkii, which the library maintains. You must verify that all your publications have been correctly entered and submit information about your new publications filling in the form at jurita.oulu.fi. You can also simultaneously submit your publications for self-archiving in the Jultika repository.
Enhance the visibility and impact of your research by maintaining your researcher profiles, with our guidance. The library also conducts bibliometric analyses based on scientific publications.
