Description of project: 
The main objective of the Barents Logistics 2 project is to increase and develop logistics expertise into the business of Barents area. This is emphasized by developing and deepening educational and research co-operation between the universities and educational institutions together with public and business organizations in the Barents Region. Besides educational cooperation, also joint research will be conducted in the project, focusing on the challenges and opportunities in cross-border business operations in the Barents Region. The project increases the level of logistics competence/know-how by the means of education and applied research (e.g. logistics trends, techniques, best practices and cross-border co-operation possibilities). In addition the level of intercultural competence is deepened by transferring foreign experience in different ways.

OBS (lead partner), Luleå University of Technology, Arctic Centre (Murmansk), Socium + (Murmansk), Association of Suppliers for Oil and Gas Industry ”Murmanshelf” (Murmansk), The Ministry of Economic Development of the Murmansk region, Port of Kemi, Port of Oulu.
