With a current staff of about 20, we carry out research and offer education with focus on water and soil environmental engineering. The research provides solutions to environmental problems related to northern waters, groundwater, land-use, waste management, water supply and wastewater treatment. We have a close co-operation with environmental authorities, industry, and end-users. The Master degree program produces annually about 15 environmental engineers with skills in water resources, water treatment, and geotechnical engineering.
Since 2010, the laboratory is leading the new national doctoral school VALUE
