REGISTRATION

Registration for the Conferment has ended 28th February 2006.

All those who have gained the degree of doctor at  the University of Oulu and who have not yet participated in a conferment ceremony earlier (present or absent) are welcome to participate in the conferment ceremony. Young doctors who have not yet been admitted to the degrees in a conferment ceremony are also called graduands or doctor promovendi.

Invitation letters were sent to those young doctors/graduands who gained the doctor's degree between March 1, 2002 and June 1, 2005.  Those young doctors who gained their degree after June 1 2005 have received their invitation letter from their faculty together with their doctor's degree documents.

Conferment as Absent

It has also been possible for the young doctor/graduand to register as absent. If this is the case, he or she will not participate in the conferment act or any other events. The personal information of the absent graduand will be presented in the Register and he or she will receive a diploma. The graduand will receive the diploma and the register by mail; he or she will pay for the mailing costs.
