Welcome to the www-pages of the Systems Engineering Laboratory!

The Systems Engineering  Laboratory conducts research and teaches in the field pointed by the Department of Process and Environmental Engineering:  Methods and theory of control and systems engineering with applications, applications in energy engineering in particular.

The Systems Engineering Laboratory is a research group conducting scientific research of high quality. Our research in methods focuses on the control of process dynamics. We are interested in both theory and applications. The field of research includes topics such as measurements, monitoring, control, upper level optimization, as well as fault diagnosis and operation room design. We publish at esteemed international scientific forums. In applications we focus in areas of process and environmental engineering.  We do research & development in close cooperation with business and industry in chosen fields of application, such as power plant and pulp automation.
