Acta Physiologica International Symposium:

10 Years of Hypocretins/Orexins -physiology and pathophysiology

Time: 13.-14.8.2008

Venue: Kastelli Research Centre (address Aapistie 1, Oulu), University of Oulu, Oulu, Finland

Sponsor

Scandinavian Physiological Society/Acta Physiologica Scandinavica Jubileumsfond

We are proud to announce that an Acta Physiologica International Symposium will be arranged immediately preceding the SPS 2008 Annual Meeting to celebrate the 10th Anniversary since the discovery of orexins/hypocretins. The programme of the symposium "10 Years of Orexins/Hypocretins -Physiology and Pathophysiology" consists of state-of-art lectures given by the leading scientists in the field of orexins and their physiological actions, signaling and regulation mechanisms.

Registration and Hotels

We recommend that you reserve your accommodation for the Orexin-symposium at the same time that you reserve accommodation to SPS 2008 Annual Meeting. The hotels recommended for the symposium and SPS 2008 annual meeting participants can be found from the following link. Hotels.

Note! The Acta Orexin symposium is organized in conjunction, but separately to the SPS Annual Meeting 2008, and you therefore have to register separately to the Orexin symposium. The registration fee is 100 €, including material, coffees, lunches and get-together party. The registration deadline to the Orexin meeting is 15th July.
