University of Oulu researcher grants for foreign studies
The University of Oulu gives out grants for graduate studies in a foreign university or research unit for a selected few every year. The grant can be used for travel, living and work expenses. The grant can be additional to a salary or another grant. The grant is available for studies for Licentiate and Doctoral Thesis.

Faculty grants
Travel grants for researchers
Primarily meant for Doctors employed by the faculty for travel expenses to a conference where the applicant presents a paper or a poster. Faculties for Humanities and Technology do not give out such grants. More information from the faculties.
Grants for students
Faculty of Science gives out grants of 3-12 months primarily for students in the end of their postgraduate studies.
A travel grant of a maximum of 170€ can be given to an undergraduate student by the decision of the director of the department. The grant is meant for expenses resulting from studies, research or field work outside the University of Oulu.
Postgraduate students can receive grants for travel expenses for scientific meetings, courses and graduate schools by the decision of the dean.
Faculty of Technology gives out travel grants for student internships abroad. Grants are between 125-135€. The application periods end in May 30th and Nov 30th.
