
The Faculty of Technology offers study opportunities for both degree students and exchange students.

The Faculty confers a lower university degree – Bachelor of Science (Technology) and higher university degrees – Master of Science (Technology or Architecture).
Please note that Bachelor´s degree is only available in Finnish.
The Faculty offers Master´s programmes in English in Architectural Design, Environmental Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Wireless Communication Engineering and in Product Management. Master´s programme in Biomedical Engineering is offered jointly with the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Medicine.
Master´s degree programme consists of a total of 120 ECTS credits and it takes two years of full time study.
Please note, that in general (with certain exceptions) international master´s programme students who are not citizens of EU/EEA member states are liable to pay tuition fee: Tuition Fees at the University of Oulu 2013-2014

In addition to the general admission requirements, applicants for the Faculty of Technology have to meet the following admission requirements:

Master´s programme in Architectural Design
Students who are on their last term/semester of Bachelor´s studies can apply to study for a Master´s degree. Those who wish to apply during their last semester are asked to state the expected date of graduation on the application form and provide the transcript of records with the other application documents. Applicants with excellent academic records can be offered a conditional study placement. In the case that the applicant is accepted for study, the applicant has to submit officially certified copies of his/her Bachelor’s degree certificate and the final transcript of records by 1 August 2013.
Applicants, who are interested in Master’s degree studies in English, can apply to our University once a year. The next available application period is December 2nd 2013 – January 31st 2014 (16.00 GMT +2) and is for studies starting in September 2014.
A new application portal will be used for the next application period. You can create an account for this new application portal from the beginning of November 2013. More information on this will be available during the autumn.
