THE 8TH CONFERMENT CEREMONY OF THE UNIVERSITY OF OULU The 8th conferment ceremony of the University of Oulu will be arranged jointly by all the faculties of the university in 2009. The three-day festivities are held May 15-17, 2009. The ceremony is held for ceremonial conferring of degrees on honorary doctors and young doctors. The Doctorate Conferment Ceremony includes a large amount of music and speeches. Despite the ceremonial nature of the occasion, it is also entertaining and festive. The ceremonies are the harvest festival of academic work.
