From the beginning of January 2017, there are four multidisciplinary doctoral programmes, corresponding to each of the doctoral training committees. Each doctoral student belongs to one of these four doctoral programmes. The main role of the doctoral programmes is to organize the field-specific training.
The Information Technology and Electrical Engineering Doctoral Programme (Tieto- ja sähkötekniikan tohtoriohjelma) corresponds the Doctoral training committee for information technology and electrical engineering (Tieto- ja sähkötekniikan tohtorikoulutustoimikunta).

Funded doctoral student positions
The Infotech Oulu Doctoral Programme was granted 12 projects with 17 doctoral student positions for 2018-2021.
