City of Oulu supports student internationalization to honour Finland’s 100th anniversary

The City of Oulu is giving the total of 400,000 Euros of the City’s development funds to the University of Oulu and the Oulu University of Applied Sciences to honour the 100th anniversary of Finland.

The purpose of the funding is to activate and support internationalization of students in the University of Oulu and in the Oulu University of Applied Sciences. The target group are the Finnish and foreign degree students. The aim is to increase the international mobility of students to improve the vitality and skill base of companies and societies in the City of Oulu, and to extend their international networks.

The share of the University of Oulu is 240,000 Euros. International studying experience, exchange programmes and international Master’s Programmes are a central part of the education in the University of Oulu. The University of Oulu warmly thanks the City for its significant contribution to the internationalization of students.
