Professor Pentti Kaitera Fund

The purpose of the Professor Pentti Kaitera Fund is to promote the spiritual and economic well-being of Northern Finland. The Fund is a memorial to the first rector of the University of Oulu, Pentti Kaitera, who played a central role in the establishment of the University and the launching of its operations. The Land and Water Technology Foundation (Maa- ja vesitekniikan tuki ry) donated the initial capital to the Fund in 1988.
