Upon completion of the course, student is able to solve business problems independently by applying business research methods, produce new knowledge using scientific theories, concepts, frameworks and approaches.
Student will develop the problem-solving skills, critical and analytical thinking competences while solving the real-life business cases. By completing the course work, student will further develop their research and academic writing capabilities.
The course includes compulsory orientation lectures and basics of project management to support students’ individual work. Final seminar includes project presentations and are also compulsory for each student. Students will present their final work and return their written reports following the given time frame. The written reports evaluation is based on the thesis evaluation framework.
Online lectures, independent work, seminar session(s), written report and presentation (either online or face-to-face).
Student will work in close co-operation with organisation´s representatives and will present the course report in the final seminar. Students are responsible for attending the online lectures and presenting their work on time and careful attention should be paid on the given time schedules
Scientific literature and articles related to the course assignment.
Three main areas will be assessed:
1. General project management skills shown during the project
3. Final report
The course utilizes a numerical grading scale 1-5. In the numerical scale zero stands for a fail.
Close cooperation with a case company or other relevant organization(s) will be carried out throughout the course. The students are expected to utilize their existing or developing network for finding the suitable organization.
Online teaching, online or face-to-face final seminar, independent work.
Students with bachelor’s degree on international business or equivalent.
