The rederivation of a mouse line into specific pathogen free (SPF) condition is performed via embryo transfer. Cleansing of embryos isolated elsewhere can also be performed.
In case the mouse line is imported, please contact the Laboratory Animal Centre for the import and housing.
Customer is responsible for:
- providing 2-4 males carrying the correct genotype. If wild type females cannot be used the customer provides 3-5 week-old females carrying the correct genotype.
- the customer is responsible for the costs of care of the mice after weaning, the analysis of the pups born and the breeding.
The service includes the superovulation of 4-6 oocyte donors, transfer of the embryos into foster mothers, and mouse care until weaning.
