My research interest is interaction in collaborative situations, knowledge creation and co-creation in working communities. I am currently examining how new knowledge is created in the communicative situations in a multi-disciplinary research community BCDC Energy. My interest is in examining how organizational environments and different circumstances shape the interactive knowledge creation processes, and what kinds of interactive practices are developed in working communities. I use video recordings, observations and interviews of the participants to investigate both the events and the experiences of knowledge creation in interaction. My focus is on the multimodality, reflectivity and openness of interaction in the context of work.
