Minna Hekanaho

Doctoral student
English Philology, Faculty of Humanities

My research activities revolve around my day job as an interaction designer in a technology company. I am specifically interested in design as social action, the design process and its impact to the end product, and the agency of the designer in different environments, e.g. organisations, corporations and even schools.

In my doctoral thesis I examine these interests from the viewpoint of design thinking and nexus analysis trying to combine the two into a new way of thinking which will benefit design and address the solutionism revolving technical innovation from a more critical viewpoint.
