1. Linux compute servers

The servers with the lower numbers run older versions of operating system corresponding commercial distribution of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Most commercial software packages run most reliably on them. Servers with the highest numbers run development versions of Linux with the latest software versions required by many developers.

Most of the commercial packages have been installed on /cad1 disk. The latest version has been linked to be started as default. Several  older versions are also available. The start scripts are in  the directory  /cad1/linux/bin.
