Expertise and cooperation options

In the increasingly connected and international contemporary world, knowledge of cultural diversity on local and global levels is crucial. Research results in cultural anthropology are frequently used in different fields to understand cultural phenomena and solve social problems.

The Cultural Anthropology programme in Oulu specializes in Northern cultures, contemporary cultural trends, cultural interaction, and environmental, medical, and applied anthropology

We collaborate with both national and international universities and research institutions. International cooperation also includes international student and personnel mobility.
