Training in cultural anthropology equips you to work in a variety of fields such as research, cultural industry, NGOs, media, as well as in other areas where undestanding human behaviour is important.

At the University of Oulu, Cultural Anthropology and Archaeology have a common entrance examination where 20 new students are admitted to study as majoring students. They have shared basic level studies. The students will choose their major (Cultural Anthropology or Archaeology) by the time they begin their intermediate studies.

All students of the University of Oulu may study Cultural Anthropology and Archeology as a minor subject freely (only basic level studies). Read more

Doctoral education in Cultural Anthropology is part of the University of Oulu Graduate School (UniOGS). Applying for postgraduate studies must be done through the UniOGS.
