Coronavirus – current issues

Updated on 12.4.2021

Studying at the University of Oulu will continue, as a rule, remotely until 31 July 2021. When necessary, teaching can be arranged on the campus, taking into account the safety and distance instructions.

Remote working and distance learning are recommended when possible until 31 July 2021. Students can study on campuses independently, as long as they follow safety guidelines. It is recommended that meetings are arranged as web meetings. When working in the university premises is necessary, strict distance and hygiene instructions must be followed.

You can prevent the spread of coronavirus by your own actions

  • Keep a distance of more than 2 metres to other people and follow regional assembly restrictions.
  • University of Oulu recommends the use of face masks in its indoor spaces.
  • Maintain good hand hygiene and follow the coughing etiquette.
  • Download the Koronavilkku app.
  • If you get symptoms, do not enter campuses. Stay at home and get tested for coronavirus.

The doors of the campuses are open on weekdays between 8.00 am and 3.45 pm.  At other times, students and staff can access to campuses with their access cards. Responsible and careful following of hygiene instructions is required from every visitor.
