Library services during the COVID-19 situation

This page contains information on the special arrangements in the library due to the COVID-19 situation as well as on the support the library provides for distant learning and working remotely.

Services in the library

The restrictions on the library services were lifted on 26 April, 2021. Library users are now allowed to study in the library reading rooms and group study rooms and use the workstations in the library. We require careful adherence to safety distances and other safety instructions in the libraries.

We recommend using a face mask on the library premises. If you have forgotten your own face mask at home, disposable masks are distributed in the library. Keep a safe distance of at least 2 meters to other customers and staff in all library premises.

Also the 24/7 campus area in Pegasus Library is now open for students. Library customers can read the legal deposit copies (reading room/researcher loans) they have ordered from Pegasus' closed stacks in the reading room loan storage room (PK201) without making an appointment. There is no need to reserve time for the use of the microfilm readers, e-thesis workstations and legal deposit workstations. The periodicals reading area in Pegasus Library is also in use.

The self-service use outside the opening hours in Health and Social Care Library is now possible.

Visit the library only when you're healthy and without flu symptoms.

During your library visit:

  • use the self-service lending and returning machines if possible.
  • use a face mask.
  • take care of hand hygiene and use hand sanitizer in the library.
  • keep adequate distance (at least 2 m) from other customers and library staff.
  • follow the COVID-19 safety instructions in the library.
