Becoming an entrepreneur in the field of language services

Virve is a language and communications specialist (translator/writer/editor) in Finnish and English, working in the field since 1995, owner and operator of Cape Context Oy since 2012, a founding member of Nordic Editors and Translators ry (NEaT), vice chair of NEaT since April 2016, a board member at Helsingin Yrittäjät - Koillis-Helsinki ry and a member of various other associations. Virve was a technical writer and member of STVY from 2004 to 2006 and briefly returned to technical writing in 2015. She now specializes in B2B "technical marketing" article design, architecture and construction, and translates young adult literature from English and Swedish to Finnish. Her presentation is about her path to independent entrepreneurship though various positions in the field of language services.
