Material Culture Studies

LANGUAGE OF INSTRUCTION:
Material culture studies encompasses a vast range of scholars who are often trained in separate disciplines. Scholars in disciplines such as archaeology, history, cultural anthropology, and museum studies can creatively use material culture to extend their traditional research data, developing richer scholarship as well as more compelling popular narratives.
MODE OF DELIVERY:
The course begins with an introduction followed by three sessions focused on case studies and a concluding session examining the relationships between the case studies and outlining the interdisciplinary theories and methods on which this scholarship is based.

Will be given in the course.
